A mocha-brown/black field is streaked with burnt sienna and brick red, outlined by midnight indigo and cooled with touches of antique ivory and lighter blue. The composition centers on a bold shield-like geometric medallion that is typical of Nahavand weaving. Its ivory serrated diamond and stepped red arms are flanked by stylised birds, botehs, and tiny house forms that reference village life in the Zagros foothills. Around it, angular blossoms, geometric trees, and ram’s horn leaves fill the field. A wide cinnabar red main border, flanked by two rosette guard stripes, locks the whole design into place.
